Mary Young is too extreme for colorado
Since taking office, Mary Young has advanced policies that have not only hurt Colorado’s working-class families but have also made our communities less safe.
As the representative for House District 50, which includes Greeley and Evans, her decisions have been out of touch with the struggles of hardworking people. Mary Young’s policies have raised serious concerns about increasing crime, job insecurity, and the rising cost of living.
Greeley deserves a representative who will fight to protect their livelihoods and safety, not one whose policies put them at greater risk. It’s time to hold Mary Young accountable and vote her out.
Voted to Release Undocumented Immigrants Who Commit Crimes
Due to bills backed by Mary Young, local law enforcement is now barred from holding undocumented immigrants arrested for illegal activities, allowing them to be released back into the community without any means of tracking their criminal backgrounds. This policy has consistently allowed dangerous individuals to slip through the cracks and avoid accountability, putting public safety at risk in favor of bureaucratic agendas.
Mary Young’s support for such measures shows a clear disregard for the safety and well-being of the people she was elected to serve.
Voted To Kill Colorado's Oil & Gas Industry
Mary Young’s decision to vote for bills that target Colorado’s oil and gas industry is reckless and harmful to the livelihoods of thousands of hardworking Coloradans.
This $48 billion industry supports countless jobs and families across the state but especially in the Greeley and Evans area. Mary Young’s votes show a blatant disregard for those who depend on her to represent them.

Voted to Put Dangerous Drug Injection Sites In Greeley
Mary Young cast a deciding vote in support of a bill that would have allowed dangerous legal drug injection sites to be established in Greeley and Evans, putting the safety and well-being of her community at risk. These sites, similar to those in places like New York City, have a reputation for damaging neighborhoods, escalating crime, and normalizing drug use among young, impressionable residents.
Thankfully, lawmakers from both parties came together to reject this bill, recognizing the serious threat it posed to the future of our communities, but Mary Young opened the flood gates and she won’t stop unless we vote her out.

Voted to strip women and families of their right to self defense
Mary Young cast a shocking vote that sought to strip women and families of their right to self defense, making them sitting ducks for the criminals who will ignore these restrictions. The bill targeted the law-abiding citizens who had committed no crimes, leaving them defenseless, while criminals were emboldened.
This ill-conceived legislation, under the guise of public safety, only served to make crime easier and more likely to occur, jeopardizing the safety of innocent people.

Voted to cut your TABOR refunds by 85%
In 2022, Coloradans benefited from “Colorado Cashback” TABOR refund checks, and in 2023 and 2024, at a time when inflation was hitting families hard, they received $800 in refunds during tax season.
Unfortunately, that much-needed relief is now disappearing. Mary Young co-sponsored legislation that slashes those refunds by more than 85%. Rather than offering critical financial support to taxpayers when they needed it most, she opted to funnel those funds toward her own pet projects which will leave hardworking Coloradans with less in their pockets.

Voted to Force Private Property Owners to Sell to Government First
Mary Young voted for a bill that gives local governments the power to seize the first chance to buy multi-family buildings statewide, taking control of both affordable and market-rate apartments before private buyers can even compete. This means government officials can essentially block everyday Coloradans from owning property, pushing families and natives aside.
Mary Young’s support for this dangerous policy puts unchecked government power ahead of the rights of hardworking people, making it even harder for Coloradans to achieve their goals and threatening property rights.
